rare Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche dress - layers of silk in a bold graphic pattern of browns and blues. features enormous balloon sleeves, a fitted waist and a voluminous skirt finished off by a ruffle detail along the bottom. the bust is lined in a brown silk, while the skirt is layered with another portion of the patterned silk, lending it all that movement and lightness. the sleeves are made of just the single layer of silk, giving them some transparency. when worn, the whole thing is light as air and moves like magic. best dated to the 1970s, a classic period for the designer.

has 4 blue buttons for closure, along with a hook at the top to lay the neckline flat. has a hook and eye closure at the waistband and two concealed snaps in the skirt.

very good vintage condition - has two very small holes at the waistband. otherwise perfect. professionally cleaned.

100% silk. marked size 40, best fits US 6-8 or 4 a little oversized (model is a size 6 and it was just a little loose). always consult the measurements provided, however, as well as our size guide if needed.
