such a fun piece from Emanuel Ungaro's ready-to-wear Parallèle line. comprised of six layers of tiered silk laying one atop another to form this maxi length skirt. the colour is black with small red polka dots throughout. the layers of silk create a ton of movement and the perfect amount of volume. easy to dress up and down, as the polka dots give it a playful edge appropriate for daytime when styled accordingly. the silk is not a chiffon, but more of a crepe, with some weight and just a little bit of sheer.

best dated to the 1990s, could possibly be Fall 1996 when a series of tiered ruffled skirts were part of the advance preview, though these are a solid colour and appear to be more of a chiffon.
