whimsical cashmere knit skirt from the famous Fall 2010 Chanel collection, where Karl Lagerfeld imported an enormous iceberg to Paris to serve as the centrepiece to his fantastical runway (apparently with the promise that he would return it to Scandinavia once done). the collection is considered a particularly strong one, which veered closer to couture than ready-to-wear. this skirt walked the runway and was featured on Freja, the it-girl of the era, in the campaign.

knit cashmere skirt that features a long fringe of wool tendrils of various weight attached as of the hip. these tendrils are held in place by two rows of a series of glass beads on silk thread. beautiful and unique design, a very special piece from the famed fashion house. has the interlocking Cs logo in a small metal medallion at the hip.

very good vintage condition. some very light wear to the cashmere. the skirt presents beautifully and is freshly dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in Italy. skirt is 89% cashmere, 9% wool, 1% nylon, 1% silk. fringe is 86% wool, 7% cashmere, 4% nylon, 3% silk. trim is 50% glass, 50% silk. marked size 40, best fits US 0-2-4.
