perfect summer dress by master Thierry Mugler from his Spring 1984 collection. it was featured on the runway in different fabrics and in the preview images in white in what looks like the same cotton as this. he made a few iterations of the wrap-dress over the years - this one features panels that attach to each side and are meant to be tied at the waist. has rounded shoulders, a spread collar, a row of snaps for fastening, two exaggerated pockets on the bum and beautiful pleating across the back. a very 1930s-1940s feel.

very good vintage condition - only flaw is the paint has chipped off of certain snaps and could be re-painted black if desired. also, shoulder pads have been removed but could be replaced easily. dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in France. material tag removed but cotton. no size marked, best fits US 4-6 maybe 8 depending on desired effect, but if too tight could lead to gaping between snaps (here shown on US 2 and fits just a little large).
