F/W 1999 Gucci by Tom Ford runway and ad campaign black velvet trousers - XS
beautiful flared pants from the iconic Tom Ford years at Gucci. these pants walked the runway that season a few times and were featured in one of the most iconic ads from the era, paired with the same white coat as on the runway. they were also featured in a Vogue editorial, where we see the price listed at roughly $1,100 USD at the time, meaning about double today.
made of the absolute softest velvet, which we believe to be a rayon and silk blend, with the most incredible hand feel, they have a mid-rise, roomy leg with flare at the bottom, and smooth back with no pockets.
very good vintage condition, other than the following caveat - the lining was removed by the previous owner, which does not really affect wear or the way the pants fall, but bears mention. it's possible that the waistband was slightly stretched out and could easily be taken in if desired. the price reflects the altered condition. otherwise, dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.
made in Italy. unsure of material, as tag was removed with lining, but we believe it is a rayon and silk blend. marked 38, fits XS or US 0-2. shown here on US 0 mannequin with 24" waist and 33.5" hips.
