very rare and special jumpsuit from important American designer Norma Kamali's Fall 1990 collection. it walked the runway, along with its vertical split black and white counterpart, which we have also secured, that season. consists of a stretch what feels like cotton in white juxtaposed against a black crushed velvet. features a turtleneck collar, sculpted, padded shoulders, and a slight peg leg finishing off in elastic stirrups (shoulder pads are velcro'd in and can be removed). incredible details, like how the sleeves extend over the hand and end in sort of finger less gloves, and also how the foot portion extends forward to cover the shoe. it is cut very flatteringly, and is very sexy despite the full coverage.

very good vintage condition. there is the slightest wear to the white portion, but no stains. the black crushed velvet is perfect. it is freshly cleaned and ready to be worn. please note: for cleaning, our dry-cleaner advised us that the black dye runs during the dry-cleaning cycle. he advised us that the black dye also runs during a regular laundry wash and would lead to colour bleeding (though the tag on the other jumpsuit says machine wash cold). as a result, we washed it with a special detergent called Synthrapol in warm water and no colour bleed occurred at all. you can consult with your dry-cleaner, but may want to try the Synthrapol detergent, which is readily available online. you can also try regular machine wash cold, but be advised of the possible colour bleed.

fabric tags present on other jumpsuit: white part is 42% cotton 42% polyester and 16% lycra and black part is 80% acetate 10% nylon 10% lycra. marked S, best fits XS/S or US 0-2-4 (shown here in US 2 mannequin). note that the jumpsuit has has some stretch horizontally and vertically, when referring to the measurements below.
