beautiful coat from masterful American designer Geoffrey Beene's Fall 1993 collection. the coat forms part of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco's permanent collection after having first been exhibited in its 2024 "Fashioning San Francisco" exhibit. 

the coat is cut square and boxy, with a a green and black houndstooth pattern on the outside contrasted by a green and black dalmatian like pattern lining, which shows at the folded cuffs and when swung open, as the coat has no closures. outside is a wool and inside is a quilted silk (verified by museum listing). the jacket could be reversible, with the tag placed in the underarm so that it is rather discreet unless your arm is raised.

excellent vintage condition - no real flaws. dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in USA. 100% wool and 100% silk lining. marked 10, fits XS/S/M/L depending on desired effect. shown here on XS mannequin.
