exquisite piece from the Fall 2002 Giorgio Armani collection. it was featured heavily on the runway that season, walking a total of three times, and the matching jacket was used in the campaign.

the piece has the most interesting design - it is a full skirt that drapes down as usual from the waist, but then, at the bottom, instead wraps and zips up around each ankle to create more of a harem pant style. it is made of a rich black velvet with the tiniest white and black sequins appliquéd to form small flowers on a sort of vine. it also has embroidery throughout.

excellent vintage condition. no flaws to note. ready to be worn.

made in Italy. velvet is 65% rayon 35% polyester, lining is 100% silk. marked 40, best fits S or US 2-4. shown here on US 2 mannequin.
