1980s Fabrice Simon silk shrug with beaded shoulder - O/S
1980s dramatic silk shrug with voluminous round shoulders by Haitian American designer and artist Fabrice Simon.
Fabrice Simon was a Haitian designer who made his name in 1980s New York, gaining a huge celebrity following with his intricately beaded gowns and evening wear (he even dressed Whitney Houston for the 1988 Grammys). with the changing styles of the 1990s and a tragic battle with AIDS, his clothing line was short-lived and too often forgotten.
i love this piece so much, which has all the DNA of his brand - opulent silk, beaded design and decidedly 1980s feel, but is so wearable and begging to slide right into a new wardrobe and lots more parties.

feels light as air, like you're wearing nothing at all while encapsulated in silk. voluminous, the jacket narrows at the wrist and wraps around the bust comfortably. no fasteners. fits a variety of sizes due to its construction.
excellent condition - no flaws. dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.
100% silk. marked S, fits S-M-L, maybe unless you are incredibly petite and would feel overwhelmed by the volume (shown here on US 2 mannequin).
