lovely dress from the Italian fashion house Fendi. while we aren't sure of the exact year, we know from the tag that it's during the Karl Lagerfeld years, most likely sometime in the 2000s. it has a decidedly vintage flair, reminiscent of the 1930s and early 40s, from the lines and glass button front to the lace detailing in vertical strips down the bust. the real star of the show however is this incredible textile, with a sheer silk backing and the tiniest little silk gold tufts attached throughout, giving it the very slightest opacity and an amazing texture. the dress comes with its own slip in a slightly cooler toned gold allowing it to be worn sheer for those who want and non-sheer otherwise. not meant to be fitted through the waist, in keeping with the squarer cuts of the 30s, and has a wider, slightly fluttery sleeve.

made in Italy. tags have been cut, but dress is silk with what feels like silk tufting and the slip feels like silk. marked 40, fits XS/S or US 0-2 maybe 4, depending on your desired fit. shown here on US 0 mannequin with 32" bust and 33.5" hips.
