very special skirt from the John Galliano years at Christian Dior, specifically the Fall 2002 collection, where it walked the runway that season. made of a shirred top portion in chartreuse green and white that folds over itself with a short silk brocade bottom with false cargo-esque pockets and a slit in front and in back, the skirt is meant to be worn low. beautiful construction, and has the perfect balance of fun and serious fashion that Galliano was bringing to Dior at the time.

very good vintage condition - slightest of wear and fraying to the brocade. dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in France. shirred portion appears to be 47% silk 35% viscose 18% polyester and bottom portion appears to be 100% silk with 100% silk lining. marked FR 38 US 6, best fits XS/S or US 0-2 maybe 4, depending on desired fit (especially tight in hips, despite stretch). shown on US 0 mannequin with 33.5" hips.
