S/S 1986 Alaïa runway yellow bodysuit with snap closure and cap sleeve - XS

bodysuit from the Spring 1986 Azzedine Alaïa collection. it walked that season's runway in white, while ours is in a slightly muted, veering on mustard, yellow. like many pieces from that season, it is in a woven acetate that has a beautiful sheen to it, almost liquid. it has a wide boatneck, slight cap sleeve, high cut leg, and a row of snaps to the mid-back for fastening. the cut in back is between a thong and full coverage, though closer to a thong. there are also two snap closures at the crotch.

very good vintage condition. there is some wear consistent with age, though the only real flaw to note is some slight damage at the snaps at the crotch - this is of course not visible when on (see final slide). dry cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in Italy. 100% acetate. marked S, fits XS or US 0-2. shown on US 2 mannequin with 32" bust and 34" hip.
