1980s Katharine Hamnett parachute silk drop waist dress - S/M

simple, understated dress from British designer Katharine Hamnett from the 1980s, when she was doing a line of pieces, mostly jumpsuits and rompers, made of this ultra-light weight parachute silk. the dress is semi-sheer, with a midi length, cap sleeve, slight a-line and wonderful drop waist with ties and pleating as of the hip. steel zipper in back as closure. one of those pieces where the simple makes it special.

very good vintage condition. dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in the UK. 100% silk. marked M, best fits S/M as it's meant to be worn boxy and away from the body. shown here on US 0 mannequin with 32" bust 23.5" waist and 33.5" hips and fits slightly large.
