rare S/S 1969 Haute Couture Givenchy jacket - S
beautiful Spring 1969 double-breasted jacket from Hubert de Givenchy. Haute Couture with the numbered tape, meaning the piece was handmade in the designer's atelier. the jacket can be seen before that year's runway presentation on a model, with Givenchy sitting nearby. a very similar piece, obviously from the same collection, with the same cut and pattern, is part of the Decorative Arts Museum collection at the Louvre (final photo). a very rare find.
in a light powder blue, it features a slim cut, with a textured tweed like material and beautiful pearlescent buttons, trimmed in silver.
excellent vintage condition and professionally dry-cleaned.
made in France. best fits XS-S or US 0-2-4 (mannequin is a US 2). might be tight in the shoulders on a US 4 - something to be mindful of. always consult the measurements provided.
