stunning dress from the late Roberto Cavalli's Spring 2006 collection. the use of giraffe print was big that season and the brown version was look 45 on the runway. it was also seen on Victoria Beckham on a night out with David. our version has the same cut and shape, but is black instead of brown and is made of a sheer silk chiffon and not the satin, which just adds to the sexiness.

the dress is as mentioned semi-sheer and has a one sleeve construction with a very drop-waist drawstring, which can be left loose to allow the dress to fall naturally as we have on the mannequin or cinched to shorten the skirt and allow the top portion to billow over the skirt, how it was worn then. there is an exaggeratedly long suede fringe, attached by gold grommets, to the single sleeve, giving the dress all of its dramatic effect.

very good vintage condition. has one small pull in the silk in back, near the tag, which does not show when worn and shouldn't get worse with proper care. professionally cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in Italy. 100% silk and suede leather tassels. marked IT 46, which corresponds to a US 10-12. can fit S-M-L due to the loose nature of the cut and the drawstring waist, which can be cinched in. note again that the waist is low-slung and the skirt portion sitting below the drawstring is very mini - this dress is not meant to be worn cinched at the natural waist, unless you maybe wore it as a top. shown here on a US 2 mannequin, without the drawstring cinched, and left loose and flowy.
