beautiful cropped pony hair cowhide jacket with subtle harlequin diamond pattern and amazing pointed hem. the jacket is from Karl Lagerfeld, but features a different tag as it seems it was made for the Asian market, which is something that was sometimes done by European designers in the 1990s. these alternate lines were manufactured in Asian factories and the styles were different and exclusive to those markets. the brand tags were unique to those areas, and the care tags were exclusively in another language, in this case Japanese as the jacket was manufactured by King Co. Ltd in Osaka. Jean Paul Gaultier also did this, and you can find products of his manufactured in Japan that were never released in Europe or North America. these products are not dupes or fakes, however, as they were created by the brand itself, just in an alternate facility and destined for an alternate audience. sometimes the quality was lower, but this particular piece is really beautiful and quite special.

colour of the cowhide is a deep maroon with brown undertones. features a short standing collar, cropped, square cut and hook and eye closures down the front. lined.

very good vintage condition. no tears or holes. there are some subtle folds in the leather here and there from storage, which will continue to fall out with wear and proper care over time.

made in Japan. 100% cowhide. no size tag, fits US 0-2 maybe 4, but is especially snug in the arms and shoulders and offers little give, or else the leather could tear.
