Gianni Versace Couture colour-block dress from the 1997 Fall collection. walked the runway on iconic model Shalom. purple with blue fold over at bust and red asymmetric strap. has a built in corset with proper boning that gives the dress structure so the purple shift can just skim the body.

very good vintage condition. inside zipper that closes the corset was professionally replaced by a seamstress. the red strap seems a little long and might need to be adjusted by a seamstress in order to shorten it, depending on how it lays on your body, but this is a very simple adjustment.

made in Italy. 53% rayon, 47% silk. lining 60% rayon, 40% silk. marked size 42/8, best fits US 6-8 (shown here clamped on a US 2 mannequin with 32" bust and 34" hips).

• bust: 30” bust at corset, but corset is darted to allow for 34”- 36” bust
• waist: 26" - 27” at bottom of corset, where natural waist is, meant to be fitted here
• hips: 38” though dress is meant to glide around hips and shouldn't be fitted here
