1990s Geoffrey Beene black silk tent dress with folded cuff - O/S

perfect understated dress from Geoffrey Beene, made of a black silk with that dramatic tent shape. the silk has a beautiful weight, giving the dress plenty of drape as it falls. the collar, which can be worn snapped closed or left open, has a distinct "v" shape in front and back, also mirrored in the folded cuffs. most likely included shoulder pads, which have since been removed but are an easy addition, with a pocket at the front of each hip. simple but striking design from a leading American designer.

excellent vintage condition. dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in USA. material not marked but silk. size not marked, fits S/M/L depending on desired fit, though beware of the arm, as it is cut rather slim. meant to be worn away from the body, obviously. shown on US 0 mannequin here.
