Pre-Fall 2013 Lanvin by Alber Elbaz documented animal print dress with beaded daisy pattern - XS
special dress from the late great Alber Elbaz's famous tenure at Lanvin, specifically the Pre-Fall 2013 collection, where it was featured in the official presentation, worn under a jacket (with slight deviation to beading placement). it has that twee, early 2010's mod cut, with a slight cocoon shape, where the dress extends out a bit from the bust and comes back in at the thigh, and features a kangaroo pouch at the waist.
made of a thick leopard print brocade-like fabric, the dress goes full maximalist through the addition of large black and white glass beads that create daisy patterns at the front and at each shoulder. there is also significant beading around the neckline and along the hem of each sleeve. we love the use of the large beading on top of an already busy print, though Vogue at the time, in its run-down of the show, felt that the juxtaposition was a bit over the top - to each their own, as always in fashion.
excellent vintage condition - no real flaws. cleaned and ready to be worn.
