another piece from the famous and collectible Yves Saint Laurent Russian collection from Fall 1976. this jacket is made of a beautiful bright blue velvet and finished off in black braided trim, with a series of black buttons. it has interesting vents in front at the hips. it walked the runway that collection and is a documented piece.

the jacket has a boxy cut and a slightly wide, boxy cut sleeve, with a slightly cropped length. 

very good vintage condition. some slight wear, consistent with age, but nothing to make note of. dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in France. fabric tag faded, feels like rayon velvet maybe maybe with cotton trim and rayon lining. marked 38, best fits modern S or US 0-2-4, depending on desired effect, though not meant to be worn tight. shown on US 2 mannequin with 32" bust and 34" hips.
