1980s Ralph Lauren paisley dress with neck tie - XS

beautiful dress from possibly the king of American design Ralph Lauren. best dated to the 1980s, the dress is actually a sample and wasn't sold and purchased in store. made of what feels like a very light wool or possible blend, it has some volume in the bust and a gathered circle skirt, but comes in to a fitted waist for a very flattering fit. has long sleeves with volume in the upper sleeve and a tie at the neck that can be worn undone or wrapped around the neck. slight padding at the shoulder. has a paisley design with a deep wine background and blue and green and brown interspersed throughout.

very good vintage condition. had a few small holes that were mended and don't show when on. dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in USA. material not marked, feels like lightweight flat wool or wool blend. no size marked, best fits XS or US 0-2. shown here on US 0 mannequin with 32" bust 23.5" waist and 33.5" hips.
