lovely cape from Italian designer Emanuel Ungaro's ready to wear Parallèle line. features a layered structure, where the bottom follows the lines of the body, the second layer, roughly elbow height, sits over the shoulders like a cap, and the third layer drapes over the top, but can also be wrapped around the head like a handkerchief. has slits on each side so you can access the pockets of whatever you are wearing underneath. best dated to the 1980s.

very soft, feels like a wool or blend wool blend with cashmere or angora. very light, perfect for chilly weather but not thick enough for freezing cold temperatures. beautiful creamy off white colour.

good vintage condition. no stains, though several very small holes throughout which have been mended and do not show when worn. overall should not be dry-cleaned excessively to ensure the integrity of the wool. dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in Italy. no material tag, definitely wool or wool blend. no size marked, fits S/M/L depending on desired fit. shown here on US 2 mannequin with 32" bust and 34" hips.
