special and rare piece from the Spring 2002 Roberto Cavalli runway. made of distressed suede that has been laser-cut to showcase various floral designs, the jacket/dress hybrid, which is open below the waist, is lined in a colourful silk of hues of pink that show through the cut-outs. the waist is gathered and moulded on the sides and in back to create a beautiful line, with an extra long leather tie belt and a series of hook and eye closures at the bust and waist. and then the gathered skirt, beginning just below the hip, featuring that ruffled edge.

two variations of the piece were made, our sleeveless version with a midi length and the full sleeve version maxi, which was most recently worn by Beyonce for her Cowboy Carter era. these pieces were made in very small quantities at the time and showcase exceptional skills and materials, including suede from the King of leather and suede himself, Cavalli.

excellent vintage condition, especially considering the delicate materials. there are a couple of instances where in the intricate cut-out design the suede has slightly lifted and been glued back down. note that the suede itself was meant to look distressed so all discoloration or spots are intentional and not damage. the silk is in excellent condition. cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in Italy. 100% suede with silk lining. marked S, fits XS/S or US 0-2 maybe 4. shown on US 0 mannequin with 32" bust 23.5" waist and 33.5" hips.
