perfect 1980s sweater from Japanese designer Issey Miyake. Miyake's early work is becoming increasingly collectible, and this sweater is a beautiful, wearable, simple piece to add to a collection. ribbed, it has a panelled construction, which allows the sweater to wrap around the body like a cocoon and give you volume without bulk. can be belted shut or worn open. has extra long sleeves and a high collar that could be worn over the head as almost a makeshift hood if desired. in a medium brown with warm undertones.

excellent vintage condition. possibly mended in a few spots, but can't be sure, and don't show at all when worn - cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in Japan. marked 35% acrylic, 30% nylon and 35% "hair", which I imagine is either wool or maybe angora. marked M, fits a variety of sizes due to the cut, shown here on US 2 mannequin but would fit S-M-L.
