delicate silk chiffon pants from the collectible Spring 2000 Fendi collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld. at the time, Vogue wrote: "Karl Lagerfeld presented one of the strongest collections of the season, propelling Fendi once and for all into the center of the fashion limelight." now it's one of the most oft-referenced collections of the 2000s and was re-visited quite faithfully by Kim Jones for F/W 2022.

these sheer chiffon pieces were featured heavily throughout the S/S 2000 collection, often layered atop one another. similar designs to these pants were seen on the runway.

the pants are made of the most delicate silk chiffon in a beige nude cut on the bias. they have an elastic waistband and ruffled trim around the waist and going down each leg. they are sheer.

very good vintage condition. the original waistband was stretched out, so we had a seamstress sew in a new waistband, the type usually used in lingerie and very thin and discreet, which matches the design of the pants. there are instances where you can see that the zig zag stitching of the original waistband doesn't exactly line up with the new one. this does not show when worn, especially due to the ruffle trim at the top. otherwise, the silk is in very good condition. 

made in Italy. 100% silk. marked IT 40, US 6 but modern fits XS/S or US 0-2 (shown on US 2 mannequin).

• waist: 24" - 26"
• hips: 34" - 36" (bias cut so allows for some variation in size, but the delicate silk can't be pushed too far).
• inseam: 26" - 30" (because they are cut on the bias, the more they are stretched width wise the shorter they will fall. they will probably end up around the same length as on the mannequin)
