beautiful patchwork dress from Italian designer Alberta Ferretti's Spring 2005 runway collection. the designer sent down a series of these raw edged sheer silk chiffon dresses - ours is a melange of two, with the colour story of the longer gown but the cut of the ankle length dress with low cowl back and handkerchief hem. the fit is exceptional, cut on the bias and draped to glide over your shape, with panels cut to accentuate the body. made of beautiful silk chiffon, the dress is sheer and will reveal whatever is worn underneath. the right strap has a tendency to sometimes slip off the shoulder, something to note when wearing.

good vintage condition. there are a few runs the silk panels and the slightest tear at the neckline, where two panels meet. the silk is very thin, leading to its sheerness, and as a result small flaws are inevitable. luckily, these flaws are easily camouflaged due to the dress' purposeful deconstructed look and raw hems. the dress is freshly dry-cleaned and ready to be worn, and we would suggest keeping dry-cleaning to a minimum as it can be harsh on this delicate of a fabric.

made in Italy. material and size tags removed, but 100% silk. fits XS/S or US 0-2-4 (shown on US 0 mannequin with 32" bust and 33.5" hips). measurements are slightly flexible due to bias cut.
