dress from Christian Dior from the famous John Galliano years. part of the Spring 2008 collection, the zebra print was featured heavily in campaign materials that year and also walked the runway in the full-length gown style. this version has a decidedly old hollywood 1920s-30s feel, which is a Galliano signature. in fact this collection was a sort of ten year retrospective of his time at Dior and featured all of his most famous styles at the fashion house, one being of course his romantic nod to the jazz age. meant to hang off the body a bit, especially in the lower waist and hips section. expertly cut, so that the zebra lines meet up and follow the lines of the body. so difficult to achieve but feels effortless once worn. has beautiful round cap sleeves.

the material is a rich silk charmeuse that feels incredible and hangs perfectly. also lined in a light, gauzier silk.
