very fun coat from Italian brand Complice during the period where Dolce & Gabbana were the designers. the main part of the body is made of a thick camo fleece, while the sleeves and hood are in a contrasting brocade and the trim is made of real Mongolian fur. from Fall 1994, a really great collection, where you see all three features - the camo, fur trim, and same brocade used throughout.

the coat has a zippered closure with buttons and toggles running down the front as well as at each pocket - the buttons are purposely mismatched, meant to look like old military coins. the jacket has an intentionally loosely elasticized waist, is fully lined and quilted inside, and has a detachable hood. our seamstress, noting that the jacket would not be able to be dry-cleaned with the fur cuffs, re-attached them with buttons making them now also detachable for cleaning (note that she left some loose stitches to secure them at the bottom, which can be cut when need be).

excellent vintage condition. no real flaws, except one of the toggles made of fleece shows some wear. dry-cleaned and ready to be worn.

made in Italy. no material marked. marked  IT 42 FR 40 US 8, fits US 8-10 oversized as intended or US 12-14 depending on desired effect, as it's cut very generously. shown here on US 2 mannequin fitting very oversized.
